Project Lazarus ZOMBIES Weapons and Mystery Box

Chalk you can refill, a 950-point crate that can laugh at you, and two wonders worth the risk.

Weapons and Mystery Box

Every survivor in Project Lazarus: ZOMBIES spawns with a Beretta M9 and a knife (V). From there the gun game is two markets: wall buys with printed prices and refill chalk, and the Mystery Box at 950 points a spin. The Roblox place has used that split since 28 June 2016. Lobbies still cap at six. There are no codes. Pack-a-Punch is a third market at 5,000 once you power the machine; that step has its own Pack-a-Punch guide.

This page is the systems view. Letter grades live on the weapons tier list. Paid extras live on game passes. Map box rooms live on maps. Power-up ammo economy lives on power-ups. The parent players hub covers the hands holding the gun.

The embedded clip is real Ray Gun gameplay — splash, finite ammo, the reason you do not dump it during Insta-Kill.

Wall buys

Chalk guns have a fixed cost and a refill cost. Common early buys:

  • B93 Raffica — 500, burst pistol. Graduation: room next to Pack-a-Punch. Research: top of the starter stairs.
  • Ranger — 500 shotgun.
  • SKS / M14 — cheap rifles on the spawn-adjacent walls.
  • MP5 and other SMGs — about 1,000. Graduation library MP5 is the classic train refill. Research office MP5 is the same idea.
  • K1A — 1,200.
  • Remington 870 — 1,500, the heavy wall shotgun.

Wall ammo is why these guns stay in high-round kits after you own a wonder. If the box is across the map, buy chalk, do not wander.

Mystery Box: 950, Joker, move

Hold F on the glowing crate. Weapons cycle, then one rises. Take it or let it sink (about 10 seconds). A Joker (this game’s teddy) turns the light red, laughs, refunds the 950, and teleports the box. Joker chance scales with spins since the last move: 0 percent on the first few, then 15, 30, and 50 percent after a long burn. The opening crate is harsher: if it has never moved, spins after the eighth opening are a guaranteed Joker.

Graduation first box is in the power room next to the switch, then it can sit upstairs classrooms, the bathroom corridor, lower library, or the nurse’s office vending room. Research first box is one of three lab rooms (chemistry, specimen, whiteboard/bio); later it can also sit in the test-chamber storage, elevator lobby, or under the starter stairs.

Burning the box

Burning the box (BTB) is spinning until Frostbite or Ray Gun appears. Leave the last zombie alive so the round does not roll while you spend. After a Joker, rotate as a squad. In six-player pubs, announce it or you will eat every 950 in the lobby and still miss the wonder. BTB is points-positive only if you already have doors and Juggernog. It is points-negative if you skip wall ammo to fund the 15th spin.

Frostbite odds (read this twice)

Frostbite is a semi-auto freeze revolver, not a normal card:

  • Rounds 1–5: not in the box.
  • Rounds 6–10: 15 percent chance to be included in that opening’s deck.
  • Round 11+: 20 percent inclusion.
  • When included, it is still about five times rarer than a regular gun.

Pack-a-Punch name: Absolute Zero. Ray Gun does not use that inclusion lock; it is a standard-pool wonder. Pack-a-Punch name: Iscariot’s Kiss. Easter eggs Maverick (Nerf dart revolver) and Whizzbanger (hammer-fired pin pistol) are rare jokes until punched.

Also in the free box: Honey Badger, Model 1887 (June 2026), Laugo Alien, RPG-7, LMGs, launchers, and a pile of rifles. Pass decks add Glock 37 GAP, Glock 47 MOS, KPOS G2, AKS-74U, AK-12, RPK-74, M4 SOPMOD II, R0635, and MSSR for the owner only.

What to take, what to leave

Take wonders, LMGs, Honey Badger, Model 1887, Desert Eagle if you need a dump pistol. Leave a duplicate of a wall gun you can buy for less. Leave launchers unless you have Mule Kick and a refillable already. Never overwrite your only ammo gun with a Joker-chasing panic swap in a tight room.

The box is a casino with a refund teddy and a freeze revolver that refuses to show up before round 6. Wall chalk is the grocery store. High rounds need both, and Frostbite’s 15-then-20 percent inclusion is why burning through 10,000 points before wave 11 is usually a donation to the Joker, not a skill issue.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for perks, Mystery Box pulls, and high-round survival.

How much does the Mystery Box cost?

950 points per spin. A Joker refunds that 950 and moves the crate. Wall guns have separate printed prices.

Can I get Frostbite on round 1?

No. Frostbite is absent on rounds 1–5, then 15 percent inclusion on 6–10 and 20 percent from 11, still rarer than a normal card.

Does the Joker steal my points?

No. It refunds the 950 and teleports the box. Chance rises the more you spin without a move.

What is burning the box?

Repeated 950 spins while holding the last zombie, hunting Frostbite or the Ray Gun. Doors and Juggernog should already be paid for.

Do game passes change the box for everyone?

No. Extra cards are added to the owner's deck only. See the game pass list.

Should I Pack-a-Punch a wall gun?

Yes if the box will not give a wonder. Refillable punched chalk often beats an empty Ray Gun. Use the Pack-a-Punch guide.
